Domestic Motor Manufacturers in 2008 before the 2-level energy efficiency record, and energy-saving product certification, in addition to the joint venture brand, are using YX3 motor. So as a high-efficiency motor, YX3 motor is widely known in China. In 2008, IEC and Nema of the United States through negotiations, will be high efficiency motor indicators and testing methods to do a unified, developed a new energy efficiency indicators and testing methods. The biggest difference is that the IE2 value of the high-efficiency motor is reduced, but the motor is detected by the low uncertainty method, the biggest difference is that the stray loss of the motor is measured. This is different from the design of YX3, facing the adjustment of indicators, there is no corresponding domestic IE3 indicators of the motor. As a result, in 2009, the Shanghai Electric Science Research Institute organized dozens of electrical machinery factories in the electrical machinery industry, such as Wannan Electric Machinery, to jointly design electrical machinery in line with IE2, IE3 indicators. IE2 motor based on Yx3 high-efficiency motor, part of the design was adjusted to meet the requirements of IE2 index and testing method, named YE2 series high-efficiency motor. The Series Design was certified in 2011 by the Federation of Mechanical Industries.
In line with IE3 indicators of the motor, there was no reference sample in China, only Nema ultra-efficient series, a few manufacturers in doing, so on this basis to develop a domestic compliance with IE3 requirements of the motor, named YE3 series ultra-efficient Motor, the work ended in 2013. In the later revised GB / T18613-2012 edition, IE2 index is regarded as the basic energy efficiency limit value (grade 3) , and IE3 index is regarded as the energy saving evaluation value (Grade 2) . That means that the YX3 series motor has been tweaked to meet the new level 3 energy efficiency target, and YE2 is designed to be efficient according to IE2.
In the new standard, although YX3 index value is a little higher than YE2 motor, but different detection methods, in many specifications than Ye2 Motor, performance is also similar, all belong to the new 3-level energy efficiency. These two series of motors, in the new national standard, is not a high-efficiency motor. Now the current domestic Y, y 2, motor has been eliminated, but we also say that YX3, YE2 is efficient motor.
